USE IN POULTRY FARMING
Broilers have been subjected to modern technologies that have significantly reduced the fattening time. One of these methodologies is intensive rearing, increasing the population density in the sheds to make the process more efficient. However, this has resulted in an increase in the number of birds per square meter, which increases the production of ammonia and deprives the animals of oxygen, causing respiratory and digestive problems, resulting in a drop in the performance of the productive parameters.
