To be a producer of ecological or organic food, it is necessary to know and
follow a series of regulations and standards for certification of organic products.
Organic foods are produced under a set of rules that specify the production,
processing and marketing in order to obtain the relevant certificates required
for export and sale of organic foods.
In United States the regulation for organic production systems was established
in the National Organic Program (NOP) of the Department of Agriculture of
United States (USDA).
